Just today, I mentioned to somebody about the low opinion that people from other places have of black people here in Peoria.
In Sunday’s local newspaper, there’s an article about schools not making adequate progress in Peoria. But the good news is, schools are making adequate gains right up the road in Dunlap. You wanna know why? It’s because Dunlap blacks are better than Peoria blacks. Oh wow.

I didn't read today's paper--just when I thought I'd heard everything. Sad!
First the only difference between Coulter and a vacuum cleaner is the position of the dirt bag.
As for Dunlap's blacks, well, they aren't shooting each other....yet.
It's what I always say it is--it's about economic level, not skin color. And then it's true that some children (black and white) are taught to behave even if they are poor. Also, it probably isn't good for kids to be raised on a welfare mentality--and I am not saying I'm against welfare.
I don't want to be misunderstood--just throwing that out as a matter of discussion. I saw some of this in my students--the belief that everything is owed to them. That keeps them from believing that they can be self-sufficient. I'll try again not to be misunderstand. I'm not against welfare because it comes out of taxpayer pockets; I just see that it often creates and sends the wrong message to children--a message that keeps them from being proud of being responsible for their own lives.
Emerge, Old Stupid Hippy wrote really cruel stuff on the pjs site about the Pekin kid who was killed in Afghanistan. He's an idiot...smoked too much of that whacky weed, or something. I reported the abused (there is a place you can do that right above his post) and they took his comments down.

The difference has nothing to do with skin color---probably very little to do with income. It all boils down to parental involvement. Parents who teach their children manners and respect and demand the best from them will generally get it. The parents who sit around all day spewing garbage, bad mouthing the teachers, the police, anyone in authority and talking about prison like it is some sort of life goal are the ones who are sending their kids to 150 schools. "She hit you?!? Well, $%&**# $*%*&(, hit her back!"
